  Topic: GETTING YOUR PROSPECTS EXCITED
Speaker: John Follis, President/Creative Director of Follis Inc / NY
  Place: The Village Crown

  Time: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Whether you're creating TV commercials or business cards, the goal of marketing is to get your prospects excited. Merely informing them is not enough.

John Follis knows about that. His award-winning creative work has been described by ADWEEK as "simple and effective" and The New York Ad Club named John "one of New York's 12 Best." His work has also received national press and been used as case studies in college textbooks. And having spent 15 of his 23 working years as an entrepreneur, John knows the challenges facing smaller businesses.

By discussing the power of creative thinking and using his successful cases as examples John will offer his Madison Avenue insight on marketing any business, product or organization.

  About the Speaker:
With four dozen advertising awards to his credit John's work has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, TIME, Forbes, Good Morning America, NPR, CNBC and 3 college textbooks. His experience includes over 100 products and services, from Kenneth Cole to Marble Church, and his agency's campaign for Sorrell Ridge Fruit Spread is a Harvard Business School case study.

John's passion for advertising is matched only by his passion for public service advertising and in 1991 he was honored at both The White House and The U.N. for his agency's national TV effort against child abuse.

John has taught at Parson's, F.I.T., and The School of Visual Arts and he has been a contributing columnist for ADWEEK. He is also author of "Mad Ave" an essay published in the pop-culture anthology "Mirror on America" which includes contributions from such prolific writers as Stephen King and Dave Barry.

For the past 11 years John has been president and Creative Director of Follis Inc. For more information about John and his business, visit http://www.follisinc.com.
