Northern New Jersey Chapter Welcomes NYC Metro Chapter
This month's meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 19, in Hoboken, NJ, in conjunction with the Northern New Jersey Chapter's July meeting. Reservations are recommended to avoid paying the additional $5 surcharge.

It has been 5 years since a major Microsoft SQL Server release. In a technology timeline, that could be considered a lifetime! Directions to the joint North Jersey and NYC Chapter meeting

By car:
Please note that street parking is limited. Also, you must carefully check the hours that parking is permitted. There are several garages nearby.
From the New Jersey Turnpike (northbound or southbound):
- Take the New Jersey Turnpike and follow the signs to the
Turnpike Extension (Exits 14A, 14B, and 14C) and Holland
Tunnel.
- After passing the final toll both, the road curves to the
right and you will approach a sequence of traffic lights.
- Turn left at the last light before the tunnel entrance onto
Henderson Avenue (Holiday Inn on the corner).
- Take Henderson Avenue till it meets with Observer Highway
(T junction).
- Turn right onto Observer Highway.
- When the road ends, turn left onto Hudson Street.
- Make your first right onto Hudson Place.
- Make your first left onto River St. (You will see the Path kiosks
on your right on Hudson Place)
- The restaurant is about 1 1/2 blocks on your left (96 River St)
From the Holland Tunnel:
- Turn right at the first traffic light when you come out of the
tunnel onto Henderson Avenue.
- Take Henderson Avenue till it meets with Observer Highway
(T junction).
- Turn right onto Observer Highway.
- When the road ends, turn left onto Hudson Street.
- Make your first right onto Hudson Place.
- Make your first left onto River St. (You will see the Path kiosks
on your right on Hudson Place)
- The restaurant is about 1 1/2 blocks on your left (96 River St)
By Mass Transit from NYC:
- Take the Path train to the Hoboken stop.
There are 2 Path lines: (1) One that goes along 6th Avenue starting
at 33rd Street and (2) One that leaves from the World Trade Center
site. There are 2 destinations on each line; make sure you take the
train that terminates at Hoboken.
Note: the cost for the PATH is $1.50 one way. It can be paid by any
combination of change and dollar bills at the far right or far left
turnstiles. If you put in $2, the machine will give you change.

- When you exit the Path at the Hoboken station, try to exit the stairs
that are closer to the rear of the train.
- When you get to the street level, orient yourself with the Hudson River
to your right. You will be facing North. Walk straight ahead on River
Street a block and half. The restaurant will be on your left at
96 River Street. (see attached Word file for a map).
